James Macleod, currently head of press at ITV, is set to move to Channel 4 in March, taking on the role of head of corporate press.

He formerly worked as a publicist at the BBC before landing at ITV in 2005 and holding a number of positions at the broadcaster. His replacement is yet to be named. The news comes as it's revealed Channel 4 is to boost its UK-originated programming budget by around £50m in 2012.
